My PDF didn't reach my target size

PDF Under enforces a readability floor — it won't compress a file past the point where text and images become illegible, even if that means missing your target size. This is intentional: a smaller file that you can't actually read isn't useful. If you need to get closer to your target size regardless of quality, look for the force-bypass option, which lets you override the readability floor and compress further at the cost of visual quality.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF Under processes every file entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any third party — there is no server involved in compression at all.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open PDF Under, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. This restores any purchase tied to the Apple ID you're currently signed in with.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not within the app. On your device, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, select PDF Under, and cancel from there.

The app converted my text to an image, why?

When a file hits the readability floor and can't be compressed further without becoming illegible, PDF Under falls back to rasterizing the page content — converting it to an image — so it can keep reducing file size without dropping below the readability threshold. This raster fallback only kicks in once ordinary compression can no longer make progress safely.
